Athlete Interview
Someone you look up to; athlete, coach, family etc. and why?
My mom, shes strong and independent.
If you could give one piece of advice to younger athletes, what would it be?
Never give up, no matter how hard it gets.
Do you have any odd pre-game rituals?
I HAVE to have either an energy drink or refresher before any game or comp.
Are you more confident at Home or Away games and why?
I like cheering more at home games as theres more people to show my skills to normally.
What are your short-term and long-term aspirations?
Cheering in college and maybe coaching after.
How do you handle pressure during a critical game or performance?
I try to breath so I stay calm and focus on what needs to be done.
What does teamwork mean to you, and share a meaningful leadership moment.
To me teamwork means working together as a whole to be the best we can be. Putting all our differences aside to be a family. As captain for 2 years now, I tend to lead most practices and have to keep the team in a good mood.
What would you say are your greatest strengths and weaknesses as an athlete?
Stunting is one of my greatest strengths, my weakness is nerves before competing.
How do you manage you athletic responsibilities with academics & personal commitments?
As I work, go to private school, and do 2 teams I take advantage of my study periods to get work done at school and I spend most nights up late until all my works done. I work after practices every once in a while but not to often in the fall as I don't wanna overwhelm myself. It really depends on how much you can handle but if your motivated you can make anything work.
How do you handle constructive criticism & feedback from coaching staff?
I take it and use it so I can be the best I can be.
What has been a big success moment so far, and how do you remember it making you feel?
Winning Cheersport in 2023. Being at such a big comp and winning with all your best friends is a feeling that just cant be described.
An interesting fact about me is...
doing 2 teams and being captain of one takes up a lot of my time but I love hanging out with my friends and trying new things as a group.
I used to play lacrosse.
